Wednesday- More good news

Today my mom was doing so so well! We were able to fully communicate with her by reading her lips, writing, and hand motions. She was being so brave, smiling, and squeezing our hands. Her doctors are weening her off the respirator and she is beginning to breath more and more on her own. It was so nice to be able to talk to my mom and have her understand everything we are saying. Another example that she is returning back to her old self is that one of the first things she asked for was lipstick and a mirror. She was so happy to hear about how great you all have been, and she is so thankful for your prayers and support. God Bless.

Jenn-
So glad to hear that what your mom cares about lipstick and seeing her face in a mirror when she is just starting to communicate! That must be a good sign that she is getting closer to returning to her old self.
God Bless!

I am a BELC mom and just wanted to let you know that, from our family to yours, our thoughts and prayers are with you every day. Though I do not know Maureen personally, I do know her from being part of the BELC family. Passing in the hallway during pick-up and drop-off, small conversation as we sign our kids in and out...a smile between moms as we get our kids. If there is anything I can do to help your family, please don't hesitate to ask.
