Wednesday- All is well
My mom is doing fantastically well! She is talking perfectly, breathing on her own, eating real food, and with the help of a walker taking her first steps (she took 4 today). Today they closed up the trach today so all she has left on her neck is bandage! She is even using a toilette again! Even the doctors are amazed by her speedy recovery! They are planing on moving her to a step-down unit as soon as a room opens up. She will stay there for only a few days, and then move to rehab. It has been so great to be able to talk, text, and e-mail her again! She has been using her iphone to send out e-mails, and is always anxious to text friends! She firmly believes that it is the work of the wonderful doctors and nurses, along with your prayers that saved her life. She told me that she thinks her new mission in life is to pray for everyone just as you all did for her. On behalf of my mom, and family I thank you from the bottom of my heart. God Bless.
