Thursday- Another Success

Hello friends and family, we have been so lucky for all the miracles we have received thus far, and today we were blessed with yet another. Today's surgery went very well, and the doctors came out with huge smiles on their faces! They were happy to report that my mom no longer has a breathing tube in her mouth. After preforming today's operation they successfully completed the tracheotomy. This is basically a small hole in her throat that is covered by a breathing tube. Earlier today her urine out put was much less then they wanted. This gave them a slight scare because her kidneys were still functioning and nothing else appeared to be wrong. After some time they realized that there was no real problem and were able to continue on. The surgery set for Tuesday is to set my moms broken leg. Thank you once again especially for all your prayers! They seem to be working so don't stop now! We are grateful for every gift God has given us this far, and look forward to a full recovery. God Bless.
The picture above is a photo of the "flowers" that Liam's class made for Mom's hospital room. Thank you Ms. Rolfes and to all of BELC for your support.

Maureen- it's hard to believe that it's only been a week since I jested and said that you should learn by my example "not to exercise" -it seems like half a year. Clearly you are the one who has the right idea- your physical and spiritual strength has proven to be unstoppable. It has simply amazed Rich and I. Although it is no surprise- Dennis, Jennifer and the O'Connor and Martin armies have been simply omnipresent, unified, strong and incredibly gracious and focused. They have all virtually wrapped Liam and Ava in bubble wrap. The Guastellos find it to be a lesson and an example to live by. We look forward to talking to you about it. XO Kathryn

Well if I didn't believe in the power of prayer before I am a full beliver now. Thank You God for helping Maureen.I would gladly give all I have for her to be okay and I prayed like never before. I will never again pray for a selfish thing again.I am humbled and grateful to God. For those of you that know me that is something.
Again thank you God.
