First Update

On Friday morning between 8:40 am and 9:00 am, Maureen was hit while crossing the intersection of Chestnut Ave and Franklin Ave. She was rushed to Hackensack Trauma Center and given the best care possible. She remained conscience the whole time and sustained no head/spinal injury. Her lung collapsed, but they were able to fix it. After an operation Friday evening, doctors found that the internal injures were worst then they expected. There was internal bleeding around her kidney. Her right leg was very badly broken and her right arm was hurt. Currently she is stable and sedated so that she can heal. She is doing as well as the doctors can hope.

As many of you know Maureen is the 7th of 8 children and all of them have all been with her since the beginning, as well as her parents. In addition, all of her cousins and friends have made an incredible support system for Dennis, Jenn, Liam and Ava.

This will be a long journey and we are going to need help, support and most importantly your prayers. We will notify you as soon as we have any new information. Thank you and God bless.

I am Bob Ebert's mother and I live near Chicago IL. My son,Bob, told me of Maureen's tragic accident and I have been praying ever since. Bob speaks so highly of Maureen, characterizing her as one of the nicest persons he has ever known.I am part of several groups who are now praying for her. I know our Lord is holding her in the palm of His hand and healing her. She,as we all are, is His treasured child. I am praying for you, her family, to have great hope and be mightly comforted and sustained. It was wonderful to read of the help coming from your friends and family. Love In Christ, Linda Ebert
